To ensure girls' right to education during and after conflict, our partner promotes gender-responsive rebuilding plans by offering human rights training, amplifying girls’ demands and assessing their needs.
Ongoing conflict throughout the country worsened education funding gaps.
In collaboration with educational institutions and other stakeholders, our partner advocated to the East Hararghe government to allocate exclusive funding to support girls’ education amid regional conflict.
Through our Education Champion Network, we invest in civil society organisations dedicated to advancing policies that strengthen and resource girls’ right to education. We aim to allocate at least 20% of our grants to organisations led by girls or young women to realise their powerful potential to generate new solutions and lead change.
